Notifications

Available in: ๐Ÿ“ฑ App

RideBase reminds you of important things around your vehicles via push notification. You'll find all received notifications via the bell icon in the top left of the dashboard โ€” unread ones are marked there with a counter.

What notifications are there?โ€‹

TypeWhen it arrives
Odometer ReminderRegularly reminds you to enter the current odometer or operating hours reading when no activity has been recorded for a while
Maintenance ReminderGets in touch when a service plan becomes due โ€” and afterwards reminds you again at configurable intervals
Shared vehiclesReminders for vehicles that have been shared with you โ€” you choose per vehicle which ones you receive
Workshop actionsAutomatic notifications when your workshop creates a service entry, mounts or unmounts a component, or accepts or rejects your sharing request

Configuring remindersโ€‹

  1. Open Profile โ†’ Notifications
  2. Adjust the settings
  3. Tap Save in the top right

  • Can be switched on and off with the toggle
  • Reminder Interval: 1 to 90 days โ€” you'll be reminded if you haven't recorded any activity within this period for a vehicle with an odometer or operating hours counter

Maintenance Reminderโ€‹

  • Can be switched on and off with the toggle
  • Reminder Threshold: 50% to 100% โ€” you'll be notified as soon as a service plan has reached this share of its interval
  • Repeat Interval: 1 to 30 days โ€” as long as the service plan is due, you'll be reminded again at this interval

Notifications for shared vehiclesโ€‹

For vehicles that have been shared with you, you decide per vehicle what you want to receive:

  1. Open the shared vehicle and go to the vehicle settings
  2. Tap Notifications ("Choose what you want to receive")
  3. Switch Odometer Reminder and Service Plan Reminder on or off individually
  4. Tap the checkmark to Save

System push permissionโ€‹

For notifications to arrive, RideBase must be allowed to show push notifications on your device.

Under Profile โ†’ Help & Support โ†’ Push Notifications you can check the status and request the permission directly:

  • Enable notifications requests the system permission
  • Open system settings takes you to the device settings, in case you need to grant the permission there manually

:::warning No notifications? If you're not receiving push notifications, first check the system permission (see above) โ€” and then whether the respective reminder is switched on under Profile โ†’ Notifications. :::
