Privacy & diagnostics
Available in: ๐ฑ App
Your data belongs to you. This page explains what the anonymous usage analytics is, where you control it, and which diagnostic information the app keeps locally for support cases.
Anonymous usage analyticsโ
RideBase can collect anonymous usage data to improve the app โ above all the RideDetect trip detection โ step by step.
The important bits:
- Opt-in: analytics is off by default. It only starts once you actively agree.
- On first launch, the "Help us improve RideBase" dialog asks you once, with Yes or No. A "No" is respected โ the question won't come back.
- No personal content and no GPS routes are transmitted.
- The data is processed in the EU.
Change your decision anytimeโ
- Open Profile and scroll to the Legal section
- Use the Anonymous Usage Analytics toggle
A withdrawal takes effect immediately โ no more usage data is sent afterwards.
Diagnostic logs in the appโ
The app keeps local diagnostic information on your device that helps with support requests. You'll find it under Profile โ Logs:
- Last 50 trips โ all imported and manual trips
- RideDetect โ the last 50 detected driving movements
:::tip For support requests If a trip is missing or RideDetect behaves unexpectedly, check these lists first. The details from them (e.g. date and time of an affected trip) help support narrow down your problem quickly. :::
These logs stay on your device โ they're only passed on if you send them to support yourself.
Privacy policyโ
You can find the full privacy policy:
- in the app under Profile โ Legal โ Privacy
- online at ridebase.app/datenschutz.html
