Profile & personal data

The profile is the hub for your account and all app settings. You open it via the person icon in the top right of the dashboard.
What you'll find in the profile
At the top you'll see your name, your email address, and your Storage usage (photos and documents count toward your storage quota). Below that come these sections:

At the very bottom you'll find Log out and Delete account.
Editing personal data
- Open Profile → Personal Data
- Enter your First name / Nickname (required) — a nickname is perfectly fine
- You can leave Last name (optional) empty
- Tap Save
Your name personalizes the app and is shown to other users when you share vehicles with them.
Adjusting the appearance
Under Profile → Appearance you can set:
- Design: Automatic (follows the system settings), Light, or Dark
- Language: Deutsch or English — the change takes effect the next time the app starts
- Sharing: the Social media preview after maintenance toggle — shows the sharing view after you create a maintenance entry
- Ridey: the Ridey enabled toggle shows or hides the Ridey animations (the RideBase mascot). With Introduce Ridey again you can repeat the introduction at any time
Pausing RideDetect right from the profile
The RideDetect entry in the Data Collection section shows the current status of automatic trip detection: Auto (active), Paused, or Off.
- Tap the status indicator next to the RideDetect entry
- In the Disable automatic detection dialog, choose how long to pause:
- Permanently — until you manually reactivate it
- Today — reactivates automatically tomorrow
- Hours: 1h, 2h, 4h, or 8h
- Days: 1, 2, 3, or 7 days
- To reactivate, simply tap the status indicator again
Tapping the entry itself (instead of the status indicator) opens the full RideDetect settings.
Logging out
- Open your Profile and scroll down
- Tap Log out
- Confirm the security prompt
Your data stays stored in the cloud — after signing in again, everything is back.
In the web portal
In the web portal you'll see your name and email address at the bottom of the sidebar. Next to it you'll find the "Abmelden" (log out) button. Personal data, appearance, and notifications are edited in the app.
