The app at a glance

Available in: ๐Ÿ“ฑ App

The home screenโ€‹

After logging in, you land on the home screen with your vehicles. Each vehicle card shows you at a glance the current odometer reading, the latest activity, and the status of your service plans. Tap a card to go to the vehicle's detail view.

Unassigned Activitiesโ€‹

If RideDetect has detected trips that aren't assigned to a vehicle yet, the Unassigned Activities card appears at the very top. That's where you assign detected trips to a vehicle โ€” learn more under Reviewing detected trips.

:::info Bell vs. Unassigned Activities The bell shows notifications (e.g. service reminders), while the Unassigned Activities card shows detected trips waiting to be assigned โ€” those are two different things. :::

Adding entriesโ€‹

In a vehicle's detail view you'll find the Add Entry button. Use it to record everything that belongs to your vehicle:

EntryDescription
TripRecord a new trip โ€” see Creating trips manually
OdometerRecord the current odometer reading (for vehicles with an operating hours counter: Operating Hours)
RefuelRecord a refueling โ€” see Refueling
Service/MaintenanceRecord maintenance or a repair โ€” see Service entries
Document / PhotoAdd a document or photo โ€” see Documents

All entries appear chronologically in the vehicle's timeline.

The profileโ€‹

Via the profile icon you can reach these areas, among others:

  • RideDetect โ€” set up automatic trip detection
  • My Routes โ€” the routes you've covered as a fog map and heatmap, see My Routes
  • Data Sources โ€” import trips automatically, e.g. from Strava, see Importing trips
  • Automations โ€” rules for automatic vehicle assignment
  • Export Logbook โ€” trips as PDF/CSV, see Export
  • Appearance โ€” design settings and Ridey
  • Help & Support โ€” FAQs, contact, and the app tour

App tour on first launchโ€‹

On your first login, RideBase shows you a short introductory tour of the most important features: timeline, service plans, components, data sources, RideDetect, and automations & rules. You'll also learn there that a demo vehicle has been created for you, so you can safely try everything out.

:::tip Repeat the tour You can restart the tour at any time: Profile โ†’ Help & Support โ†’ Show App Tour. :::

Ridey โ€” the mascotโ€‹

Ridey is RideBase's raccoon. He introduces himself on first launch and pops up in the app every now and then afterwards. On the introduction screen you decide with Keep Ridey ๐Ÿพ or No Ridey for me whether you want to see him.

You can change this at any time later under Profile โ†’ Appearance with the Ridey enabled toggle โ€” there you can also have Ridey introduce himself again via Introduce Ridey again.
