My Routes
Available in: ๐ฑ App ยท ๐ป Web portal
My Routes shows you on a map which roads you've already explored โ like in a game with "fog of war": unknown territory lies in fog, the routes you've driven light up.
Viewsโ
| View | What you see |
|---|---|
| Fog | A dark mask over everywhere you haven't been yet โ explored corridors are visible |
| Heatmap | The more often you've driven a route, the more intensely it glows |
You switch between the views with the toggle at the bottom edge of the map.
How to get to the mapโ
In the appโ
Open your Profile and tap My Routes under Logbook / Export ("Explored routes as fog & heatmap"). At the top of the map you can see how many kmยฒ explored you already have.
In the web portalโ
In the web portal (web.ridebase.app), open the "Meine Strecken" (My Routes) menu item in the sidebar.
Filtering by vehicle typeโ
If you have vehicles of different types (e.g. a car and a bicycle), filter chips appear at the bottom edge: All or a single vehicle type. That way you can see, for example, only the routes you've ridden by bike.
How does the map fill up?โ
The map grows automatically with every trip that has a GPS route โ whether recorded by RideDetect or imported from Strava, Apple Health, or Health Connect. The rules:
- Only trips that are assigned to a vehicle count (unassigned trips only after assignment)
- Manually entered trips without a GPS route don't contribute anything
- Trips marked as duplicates or ignored don't count
As long as you haven't recorded a trip with a route yet, the map shows the note "No routes explored yet. Record a trip โ it will show up here automatically."
The fog map is a nice motivation to take a new route for once โ every unknown road lifts the fog a little further.
