Service & Maintenance

Available in: ๐Ÿ“ฑ App ยท ๐Ÿ’ป Web portal

RideBase documents your vehicle's complete maintenance history โ€” and reminds you before something comes due. There are three building blocks that work together:

The three building blocksโ€‹

1. Service entries โ€” what was doneโ€‹

Every workshop visit, every repair, and every job you did yourself is recorded as a Service/Maintenance entry: with tasks, spare parts, costs, and receipts. All entries appear chronologically in your vehicle's Timeline โ€” your complete, gap-free service history.

2. Service plans โ€” what's due regularlyโ€‹

Recurring jobs like oil changes or the main inspection are set up as a service plan: with an interval by kilometers, time, or a fixed date. RideBase continuously calculates when they're due and shows it as a traffic light in the Service Plans tab.

3. Components โ€” what wears outโ€‹

Wear parts like tires, chains, or brake pads are managed as components in the Components tab. They accumulate mileage while mounted โ€” so you can always see how much of their expected service life has been used up.

Remindersโ€‹

So you don't miss anything, RideBase sends you push notifications when service plans come due. You can configure the threshold and repetition yourself.

:::tip Bring your workshop on board You can share your vehicle with a workshop โ€” it then records service work directly into your history. More on this under Sharing with workshops. :::
