Registering your workshop
Available in: 💻 Workshop Portal on web.ridebase.app
With the Workshop Portal you can see the vehicles your customers have shared with your workshop — including service plans, due dates, and service history — and record service entries directly for your customers. To keep customer data protected, a workshop isn't simply created — it has to be requested and reviewed by RideBase.
Step 1: Create a RideBase account
You always sign in to the portal with a personal RideBase account. If you don't have one yet:
- Open web.ridebase.app
- On the login page, choose the sign-up option and follow "Konto erstellen" (create account)
An existing account from the RideBase app works just as well — simply sign in with the same credentials.
Step 2: Request your workshop
- In the portal, open the context switcher (top left) and choose "Werkstatt beantragen" (request a workshop)
- Fill in the "Werkstattdaten" (workshop details):
- "Name der Werkstatt" (workshop name), "Straße & Hausnummer" (street & number), "PLZ" (postal code), "Ort" (city) — required
- "E-Mail der Werkstatt" (workshop email) — the company address for questions during the review, not your personal account email
- optionally "Telefon" (phone) and "Website"
- Upload the "Gewerbenachweis" (proof of business) — business registration, master craftsman's certificate, or commercial register extract (PDF, JPG, PNG, or WebP, max. 10 MB)
- Optional: a "Nachricht an das Prüf-Team" (message to the review team) — your specialization, how long you've been in business, …
- Optional: "Unterstützte Fahrzeuge" (supported vehicles) — which vehicle types, makes, and models you service. You can change this at any time later in the settings
- Click "Antrag absenden" (submit application)
Step 3: Review by RideBase
The process has three steps, which the portal also shows you:
- "Antrag stellen" (submit application) — your application has been received
- "Prüfung durch RideBase" (review by RideBase) — the details are reviewed manually (to protect against fake workshops)
- "Freischaltung" (activation) — once approved, your workshop becomes active
While the review is in progress, the portal shows the "Antrag in Prüfung" (application under review) page. In the context switcher, the workshop appears with the note in Prüfung (under review).
If your application was rejected
If your application is rejected, you'll see the "Antrag abgelehnt" (application rejected) page — including the reason, if one was given. From there you can:
- "Neuen Antrag stellen" (submit a new application) — e.g. with corrected details or better proof
- "Antrag löschen" (delete application) — the rejected application is removed permanently
After activation
Once your workshop has been activated, select it in the context switcher to switch into the workshop context. These areas are then available to you:
| Area | What you do there |
|---|---|
| "Kundenfahrzeuge" (customer vehicles) | View shared vehicles, decide on share requests |
| "QR-Code" (QR code) | Print and display your workshop code |
| "Team" | Invite staff and manage roles |
| "Einstellungen" (settings) | Maintain business details, logo, and supported vehicles |
As the applicant, you're automatically the "Inhaber" (owner) of the workshop.
