The workshop QR code

Every activated workshop has its own permanent QR code. Customers scan it with the RideBase app and share a vehicle with your workshop in just a few steps — the share is active immediately, without you having to confirm it.

Where to find the code​

In the Workshop Portal, open the "QR-Code" (QR code) menu item. The page shows the code together with your workshop's name and address and offers two actions:

  • "PNG" — downloads the code as a high-resolution image file (e.g. for flyers or your website)
  • "Aufsteller drucken" (print display stand) — prints a ready-made display stand with logo, workshop name, address, and QR code, ideal for the reception desk or vehicle check-in

The code is permanently valid and can be used as often as you like.

How it works for customers​

  1. Scan the QR code with the RideBase app (Share vehicle → Workshop)
  2. Select a vehicle — several vehicles are possible
  3. Set the shared areas: service plans, history, documents, components, km history. GPS tracks are off by default

:::tip Works with the phone camera too Customers don't necessarily have to scan the code in the app. If someone scans it with their regular phone camera, the RideBase app opens directly in the sharing flow. If the app isn't installed, a page appears with the app store links and a note to scan the code again after installing. :::

Below the QR code, the portal shows the corresponding web address (https://ridebase.app/w/…). You can also send this link directly — by email, messenger, or on your website. It takes customers into the same sharing flow as the scanned code.

:::info Does the vehicle match your profile? If you've set up supported vehicles in the settings, customers see a notice when scanning if their vehicle doesn't match your profile — they can still share it anyway. :::
